Isn't this beautiful? A timeless picture of nature's frozen splendor. But...enough already!Where's the warmth? Where's the sun? And good grief, we don't even have snow! It's just bitterly cold and gray.

Oh, I'm in Florida so I wouldn't mind some of that cold sent my way!! This week has the first really cold days we've had all year and those days don't dip below forty degrees. Apparently before I was born it snowed in Florida ONE time. But it was so little that it hit our Florida ground and went all muddy-we are a swamp state after all.
When I was in Massachusetts old snow-from a recent snow day- was on the ground and then it snowed the last day I was there for my vacation. It was just lovely! I intend to go back someday.
Florida! Yum! Sanibel Island is one of my very favorite places in the world.
Massachusetts is lovely! All of New England can be breathtaking in the winter, if you can just enjoy it and not have to get around in three feet of the white stuff. :)
Yes, living in Mass probably wouldn't be my cup of tea. Visits only! A snow shovel would not jibe with my style.lol.
Hot tea with a wedge of lemon, definitely. Corn chowder. Key West, which I hope to visit in Feb and get out of this blasted snow/ice scenario. Twenty-five below. I mean, is that really necessary? Reading Anna Campbell now, and she's always hot, LOL.
Maggie, Key West sounds wonderful! Please post some pictures when you get back. The corn chowder is a favorite around here, too. :)
This week we've had a bizarre temperature inversion here in the Pacific Northwest - cold and foggy at sea level but warm and sunny at higher elevations. Skiers and snowboarders have been loving it!
Here on my gorgeous island retreat I finally saw the sun yesterday afternoon and today has been gorgeous! Winter is so much eaiser to handle when the sun shines.
My current drink of choice is an herbal tea called Angelwater. Spearmint, lavender, rose petals, elder flowers, red clover. Heaven-sent, to be sure.
Lee I think the Pacific Northwest can thank the weather for it's lush beauty, but I'm sorry for all the snow they've had lately.
Your drink sounds really unique, and it's got to be good for you! :)
