Christmas Snacks

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

8 oz. cream cheese
1 cup real butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
* cream all these together

*Gradually add:
3/4 cup of powdered sugar
4 Tablespoons brown sugar
3/4 cup of mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Chill for 2 hours or more. Form into a ball and then roll in chopped walnuts or pecans. Serve with graham crackers; I serve with cute Teddy Grahams.

Enjoy!

This sounds delicioussssssssss. It also sounds completely doable! I think I might try it this weekend, just for myself. :)

It's pretty addictive. The great thing is, it keeps well, too.

I'm used to the ones for crab or almonds, rather than sweet ones. I'm not sure if this would go over with my family or not.

Sweets are a good thing! :)

OMG! I so want to eat that like right now! And Steph is right, it sounds totally doable. Thanks for the recipe, Gillian. I hope you're having some wonderful holidays.:)

LOL, Gillian! I'm so glad you specified "real" butter. My arteries might not thank you for it, but I'm all about Christmas indulgence!

Hi Lee! Yes, it's real butter; actually, for about six years that's all we use. Just sparingly, but we've grown accustomed to the taste.

And recipes like this only get made once a year or so, so indulgence is a good thing! And I've got all your fabulous recipes to balance out my "heavy on the sugar" ones. :)
