Mary, Mary , quite extraordinary......

Finally....our local Wal-Mart put First Comes Marriage, Mary Balogh's newest release, on the shelves. It's the Read of the Month for Wal-Mart, and Mary has included a bit of bonus material, a small section originally cut.

Hurray! We'll take all the Mary we can get.

Mary Balogh is more than an autobuy for me. She's a comfort read, the first and last name in romance done perfectly, the books that are in almost every room of my house. She's the first romance author who made me cry.

Isn't the cover exquisite? No doubt the story is as well. I'm off to curl up with a cup of coffee on this cold, blustery day and discover the magic between Viscount Lyngate and Vanessa Huxtable.

I highly suggest you do the same. :)

What author calls a halt to your day? Which author makes you cry, or laugh out loud? Aren't we lucky to have such a wealth of talent and genres to choose from?

I am so glad you finally got your Mary Balogh book!

One of my auto buys is Lorraine Heath, especially her new series. I always fall in love with her writing anew with each book.

Hi Terry Jo!

Honestly, nothing makes me happier than her books. The characterization is so rich and complete I almost forget they're not real people.

And wow did she set up a secondary character, Con, for an eventual HEA. His life is so miserable right now...I can't wait to see what she's got in store for him in a later book. :)

It's an excellent cover, the kind that would have me reaching for the book in the bookstore.

I read all over the map, and am, for the most part, indiscriminate.

I love Loretta Chase and Jo Beverley, and lots of others, of course, but those two are at the top of my list.

Hi Alice--it's good to read a wide variety, keeps things interesting.

Maggie, I agree, Loretta and Jo are some of the very best.

Not to boast or anything...okay, I'm boasting!...Jo B is one of my CPs. Can't begin to describe the honor of being one of her first readers. Tough to critique, though. Her first drafts are pretty much perfect, although I occasionally find a misplaced comma ;)

Lee, I think it's amazing that you get to be one of the first people to read Jo's work. And hey--you are obviously a great talent as well! Really looking forward to your next release. :)

I really need to pick up this book. I do love Balogh's stories, even though I haven't gotten to all the "Simply" books yet.

I plan on stopping everything to read Lisa K's Smooth Talking Stranger and the only other author I actually read immediately is Eloisa James. But the hundreds of TBR books in my apartment can attest to the fact my reading interests span far and wide. LOL!

Hi Terrio! I must admit, Smooth Talking Stranger is on my list as well. I cannot believe how much I like her contemporaries.
