Demon's Covenant is the much-anticipated sequel to the Demon's Lexicon, which I could not get enough of. Edgy, fast-paced, and other-worldly in such a natural way that it has me believing at least some of my mild-mannered neighbors must be witches. If you haven't read the Demon's Lexicon first, please do so. You'll thank me later. :)
A Matter of Class is lovely, much like curling up in a window seat with your throw and tea and watching raindrops trickle down the glass. In fact, it would be fine setting in which to read this book. Reading this is the difference between grabbing a to-go cappuccino at Starbucks and setting down for a proper tea at four o'clock. Take the time to savor this story. 
On audio while driving? Why, Harry Potter, of course.

Oooo nothing puts me in the mood for fall better than reading The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe. "lamentations for my lost Lenore..."
These all sound great! My favorite book this October is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which I'm reading with my son. Will probably take us all month but it's so much fun reading it aloud. Enjoyed your post, glad I stopped by.
I've just finished a reread of J.Frank's RAPTURE - I love that book. Great depth in the characters, not to mention their emotional journeys.
My next TBR book is FORBIDDEN by Aussie author Christina Phillips. She's written an erotic ancient historical love story between a Roman centurion and a Celtic druidess. Looking forward to it.
Hi Mary! Now you've given me the shivers. Actually, my oldest daughter's boyfriend dresses up as Edgar Allen Poe for the library and reads his work--the resemblance is creepy. I'll have to track down a picture. Tell Tale Heart always kept me up at night.
Hi Elizabeth! Nothing better than sharing a great book with your kids. I loved reading and talking about Harry with my girls. We still enjoy all the stories so much. I think O of P is one of the most introspective of the series.

All good suggestions! I've heard others recommend the Demon's Lexicon, so maybe I should just go get myself a copy! And I'm eager to read the Mary Balogh (it's only in hardback at the moment, no?)
Harry Potter is an awesome fall choice....I should re-read Deathly Hallows before the first part of the movie comes out.
And I just picked up Angi's book a couple days ago!! Very thrilling!
As for other books: I've been enjoying Kris Kennedy's The Irish Warrior this week--I don't normally read medievals, but I won it in a contest, and it's quite absorbing. Anyway, fall is a great time to snuggle down and read!
Just started Angie's book last night, quite a thriller! I am also looking forward to Butterfly Swords and Mary Balogh (love her).
Right now I'm enjoying Lori Handeland's The Phoenix Rising Chronicles Series. Was a little irritated that I couldn't get them all on eBook. Hmm. More books filling up my shelves. Then I want to get Butterfly Swords and of course -- Angie's book. Got to support the Unsinkables!
Elisa, I cannot sing the praises of Demon's Lexicon highly enough. Especially the ending. Oh, the ending... You must read this book. :)

Nan, I've heard all sorts of great things about the Phoenix series. I might start them over Christmas break. I'm surprised they would offer some but not all on eBook--but who knows how they come to that final decision. Obviously not the author. :)
