Let's Get Back To It!

Party's over, people!

There is nothing like a conference, RWA Nationals or something more local, to get those inspirational juices flowing. And all those workshop CD's just waiting to be listened to.....all that juicy research, just waiting to be explored....

But hey! That book isn't going to write itself! Take all that newfound wisdom and glorious insight and refreshed enthusiasm and put that pen to paper (hands to keyboard, etc.) !

Get back to work! Let that page count reach new heights! Celebrate every single new word that makes it to the page, and let us know when you've finished another brilliant WIP! :)

It sounds like the conference did you good.

Actually, Alice, I didn't go to San Fransisco, but I did take advantage of some of the excellent on-line classes, and I do feel fired up about making some real progress this month.

Hope all is going well for you! :)

I took some on-line courses as well, gillian. They were really inspiring. Hopefully we'll both turn out a nice page count over these next couple of months.

Hi Kelly! You know, I was so impressed by what was offered on line, just free for the taking. It was awesome! Some very helpful advice on not letting the editing process take forever (guilty!) and how important strong verbs are, as well.

Please let me know how your page counts come! Let's keep each other pushing forward. :)

Gillian, it's great that you were able to take part in the online offerings that coincided with National. And now you can look forward to listening to the conference workshops on tape.

I came home from San Francisco feeling very inspired. I also came home with a mountain of books - some for me, some for friends - and I'm looking forward to delving into my newly expanded TBR pile!

Nothing yummier than new books! And I'm really looking forward to hearing about the train--I always wanted to try that, and haven't so far.

Conference was a blast, Gillian! And it would have been better had you been there! Next year for sure! The online classes sound great. The workshops at Nationals were really great and I need to sit down and sort out my notes.

Definitely working on finishing this second book. I have set myself a date of October 1st for finishing the first draft. Fingers crossed.

Maggie, that is FANTASTIC!!! Celebrate, girl! Champagne! Chocolate! Something!!

Louisa, could you hear us all cheering from across the country? We were, all week long! Next year sounds wonderful--I'll keep my fingers crossed and start filling my piggy bank.

I cannot wait to read this next book!!!

Boy, Gillian, all those online workshops made you pushy. LOL! I really did get inspired at Nationals but I also got exhausted. I'm just now starting to feel normal again. I made myself promise that I'd sit down every night (other than Tuesday when I have class) and write something. Whether it's a paragraph, a page, or a chapter, I'm going to write something!

Huzzah for DC!

Terrio, I think Nationals are exhausting. So much info to process! I'm so glad you had a good time.

I've been writing and editing each night. It's amazing--even knowing you've worked a bit makes you feel so much better.
