Christmas recipe of the day: Yule log! Isn't it pretty?
My oldest and her boyfriend make one each year for their French club contest. They have more patience than I do.I like my food fairly quick and easy. But this is oh so impressive on a Christmas table!
Christmas book of the day: A Holiday Yarn by Sally Goldenbaum. A yuletide Mystery!

How beautiful! I bet it tastes even better. Sounds like a smart and thoughtful daughter to me. She bakes, she's bilingual and she gets her boyfriend to cook. It can't get much better. Merry Christmas, Ginger
Well, one cake has bit the dust because it stuck to the pan. More cake for cake balls, I say, but they are not happy.
So here comes cake: Round Two!
To be continued....
So impressed! We have one every year at my parents house. We have it made by a local bakery but I have always wanted to know how to make one! I am sure it takes a LOT of patience!
Lots of patience...and the right cake mix...and not having to leave the house to go ring the bucket bells. :) This year's cake was not so pretty, but tasted great.
Thanks for stopping by! :)
